Important Tasks and Dates Before You Get To College

New Freshman Checklist

Senior Year of High School

Schedule a college visit to Peru State College 

Apply for admission to Peru State College

International student information https://www.peru.edu/international/undergraduateadmissions.html

Send ACT or SAT Scores* to Peru State College – School Codes ACT 2470    SAT 6468  (*scores are optional for admission but required for certain competitive scholarships)

Register for Summer Orientation beginning February 1

Complete the housing application and pay the $50 application fee beginning February 1 – May 1 priority housing date 

Complete the FAFSA in October - FAFSA Code 002559

FAFSA Priority Filing Date – March 15

Monitor your myPSC To-Do list for Financial Aid for verification document requests, aid offers, loan entrance counseling and master promissory note.

Keep checking your Peru State College email for important updates and information. 

Summer Before Freshman Year

To be Completed in April/June 2022:

Attend Summer Orientation and register for fall classes

Complete the housing application by the May 1 priority housing date and pay the $50 housing fee. 

Complete and submit the Peru State College Health and Counseling Form (on-campus students only)

Submit a copy of your health care provider immunization records that show proof of two MMRs (on-campus students only)

Have official final high school transcripts sent to Peru State College (Admissions, PO Box 10, Peru NE  68421)

Have official college transcripts for early entry or dual credit courses sent to Peru State College (Admissions, PO Box 10, Peru NE  68421)

Complete a FERPA Release of Information form by contacting the Student Records Office for a form

Consider providing Parent/Guest Access to your educational records. 

Request disability services and provide supporting documentation if applicable

Prepare to Move On Campus

Learn about our Technology Recommendations for students 

Coordinate with your roommate for dorm items such as a refrigerator, television, décor theme, etc.

Purchase your parking permit 

Paying for College

If your financial aid award letter references a Parent Loan, get more information

Order your textbooks from our online bookstore.

Review your financial aid award and your student account charges in myPSC. Develop a plan to pay your fall term balance by September 6

If your financial aid award letter references federal work-study employment

Apply for jobs on campus 

Bring your banking information to set up direct deposit

Bring documentation for employment eligibility verification (I9) including a valid photo ID and a social security card or birth certificate.

Student Athletes – Submit the Following Documents before arriving on campus

Insurance Forms – proof of primary health insurance

Pre-participation physical exam – New student athletes – obtain your own physical from your family physician.
