Renewable Transfer Scholarships

Presidents Transfer 3.5 $2,400 ($1,200/yr)
Deans Transfer 3.25 $2,000 ($1,000/yr)
TJ Majors Transfer 2.5 $1,000  ($500/yr)
Eligibility:
  1. Must have completed 12+ college semester hours
  2. Must be admitted to Peru State College
  3. Awarding is based on Cumulative College GPA
  4. Priority deadline July 1 for Fall semester / December 1 for Spring semester
  5. Award is available for 2 years / 4 semesters
  6. Award is available to on-campus students only

Competitive Academic Scholarships


All scholarships are subject to availability and are tuition waiver scholarships, unless noted otherwise. Eligible candidates must be admitted to Peru State College, degree-seeking and enroll in 12 or more credit hours each semester. Some scholarships are not able to be combined with other awards, awards that can be combined are noted in eligibility. Scholarships requiring separate applications or materials are specified.


Nebraska Career Scholarships
Award Amount: Up to $6,500 per academic year
Deadline: Rolling Deadline
Eligibility:
  1. Majoring in Business, Education, Criminal Justice or Computer Management Information Systems
  2. Minimum ACT of 18
  3. Priority for Non-Athlete
  4. Live on campus or meet Independent Living Requirement through Residence Life housing

 

Phi Theta Kappa (ΦTK)
Award Amount: Full-tuition waiver for two years (On Campus rate, up to 18 credit hours per semester)
Deadline: April 1
Eligibility:
  1. Community college graduate
  2. Cumulative college GPA of 3.5
  3. Induction into Phi Theta Kappa
  4. Copy of Phi Theta Kappa membership card must accompany application materials
  5. Plan to begin studies in the Fall as a full time, on-campus student
  6. Must be admitted to Peru State College
  7. Must reside in on-campus housing.

 

Davis-Chambers Scholarship
Award Amount: $4,000 ($2,000/yr)
Deadline: February 3
Eligibility:
  1. Must be a Nebraska high school graduate
  2. Must be a Nebraska Community College transfer student
  3. Plan to begin studies in the Fall
  4. Completion of FAFSA
  5. Enrolled as a full time, on-campus student, 12 credit hours
  6. Cumulative transfer GPA of 3.0

Special Peru State College Scholarships


Athletic Scholarships
Award Amount: Coach's Discretion
Description: Peru State College athletic teams offer scholarships in the form of tuition and room waivers to program participants for each of the eight athletic teams as well as cheerleading. Interested student athletes should contact the head coach for the sport of interest at 402-872-2350 or athletics@peru.edu.

Art Scholarships
Award Amount: Varies
Description: Scholarships in the form of tuition waivers are available for students who major in art. Demonstrated ability and department needs determine award recipients and amounts. A portfolio is required. For additional information, view the program details.

Music Scholarships and Tuition Waivers
Award Amount: Varies
Description: Music scholarships and tuition waivers are available to participants in the vocal and instrumental ensembles. Award amounts are determined by demonstrated ability, musicianship and department needs. For more information, please visit the Scholarships page.

Details: The Susan T. Buffett Foundation provides scholarships that can be used to cover expenses related to attending college (e.g. tuition and fees, housing, books).
