Education in Finland and Sweden, May 2019
Join School of Education faculty Dr. Spencer Vogt and Dr. Darolyn Seay on a 10 trip to Europe to learn about the educational system of several European countries. You’ll learn how the Finnish Board of Education afforded a tuition-free education for its students. You’ll also learn how they maintain an excellent quality of education without homework or standardized tests. Your cultural experiences throughout the breathtaking landscapes will give an enriching perspective on the region’s progressive educational practices.
The trip requires enrollment in EDUC 498 Education in Finland and Sweden for the Spring 2019 semester. The trip is tentatively scheduled to depart on May 14 and return May 23, 2019. The anticipated cost is $4,040 per person and there are PeruQuest scholarships available to defray trip expenses.
If you are a student at Wayne State or Chadron State, you may enroll in the course by completing the Joint Enrollment Form. The course number is EDUC 490 for Spring 2019.
