Peru, Nebraska – Dr. Tim Borchers, Vice President of Academic Affairs and acting Dean of the School
of Professional Studies at Peru State College, announced that Renae Mixan has been
awarded the James G. and Mavis Green Freshman Scholarship for the 2020-2021 school
year.
Renae Mixan will be a freshman in the fall and is from Plattsmouth, NE.
The Green Scholarship is awarded to incoming students planning to major in business
administration with an ACT score of 20 or higher. The scholarship recipient is also
encouraged to join and participate in Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), a collegiate business
student organization.
First preference is given to applicants from Auburn and Johnson with secondary preference
for southeast Nebraska students and the surrounding areas of Iowa, Kansas and Missouri.
Borchers writes, “The Green Family Scholarship assists in attracting the area’s brightest
business students to Peru State and encourages them to become involved in our nationally-recognized
chapter of PBL.”

of Bobcats.”
