Peru, Nebraska – The Peru Theatre Company is partnering with Blixt Locally Grown Arts to host two workshops on Wednesday, October 9.  The workshops will be located in the Black Box Theater located in the Jindra Fine Arts Building.


The workshops will be led by theatre artists Becky Boesen, and Petra Wahlqvist. Participation is open to the wider Peru community and each workshop will last approximately 75 minutes.


The first workshop is titled “The Missing Piece” and will be held from 2:00-3:15p.m. The second workshop is titled “Angry is Sad’s Bodyguard” and will be held from 4:00-5:15p.m.


According to their website, Blixt Locally Grown Arts “is a Nebraska-based arts organization that specializes in the development of new works, community building, and the stimulation of economic development through the integration of local arts and culture into all facets of life.”

The Peru Theatre Company’s next production, “Two 2-Handers: A Staged Reading Series” will be held from Oct. 16 to Oct. 20 in the Performing Arts Center.
