Peru, Nebraska - Dr. Tim Borchers, Vice President of Academic Affairs and acting Dean of the School of Professional Studies at Peru State College, announced that Noah Wynn has been awarded the James G. and Mavis Green Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year.

The Green Scholarship is awarded to sophomores, juniors or seniors majoring in business administration with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. The upperclassmen scholarship seeks to reward membership and participation in Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), a collegiate business student organization.

First preference is given to applicants from Auburn and Johnson with secondary preference for southeast Nebraska students and the surrounding areas of Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Wynn is from Auburn.

Borchers writes, “Financial assistance continues to be important for students beyond their freshman year. The Green Family’s generous support of Peru State students is an important factor in the ongoing success of our business majors – both academically and in activities like Phi Beta Lambda.”

Wynn is heavily involved in Student Senate and PBL on campus. In Student Senate, he was the Sergeant-at-Arms and has been awarded PBLer for the month of November. He also spends time working in the Residence/Student Life office as a work-study student.

Wynn's parents are Troy and Amy Wynn.
