Nebraska City, Nebraska – The artwork of Peru State’s Susan Moore was featured a number of local galleries in Nebraska and Iowa this summer.
Moore also has work featured at the Winterset Arts Center in Winterset, Iowa. The show is called “Sweet Indulgences” and features some of her most recent oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings. The show is having a closing reception on September 20 from 4-9 p.m.
According to WintersetArtCenter.net, the Center promotes artists and “active engagement with the arts through classes, events, exhibitions, and patronage of regional artists. Since its beginning, the Art Center has been a volunteer-led and member-supported nonprofit organization. Center is a vital gathering space for the Winterset community that encourages artistic expression, engagement with the arts, and development of artistic ability.”

Moore was also a guest artist at The Grove – A Gallery in Nebraska City. Her work was displayed from in mid August. The Gallery describes itself as “the premier art gallery in Nebraska City and features internationally and nationally known artists from Nebraska.”
Moore’s food related artwork was featured by the Grove at Nebraska City Tourism and Commerce’s annual Farm to Fork event. She also painted on location during the event.
Earlier in the summer, Moore opened an art show at the Warren Cultural Center in Greenfield, IA. The show featured her realistic paintings of “yummy, decadent food.”
Moore commented, “I am excited to share my works in the beautiful gallery of the newly remodeled opera house of Greenfield, IA. This show holds some of my most recent works, some of which have never shown before. I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity and the incredible staff of the Warren Cultural Center.”
Moore has held many exhibitions across the US and has participated in an international exchange program with China. She has also served as a juror for the Madison County Fair and has showroom management experience.
Her areas of interest include painting, drawing, mixed media, and photography. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Iowa State University and her MFA from the University of North Texas.
Moore joined Peru State College as an Instructor of Fine Art in 2018.
