Omaha – The April 25 edition of the Omaha World-Herald announced the 2019 Alice Buffet Outstanding Teacher Award winners. 15 teachers from Omaha Public Schools were chosen including Peru State alum Lacie Hansen.
Hansen is a language arts teacher at Norris Middle School. She has worked at OPS for twelve years.
The World-Herald carried this quote from a colleague, “Ms. Hansen has the rare ability to know how to work with individual students and make them feel safe, supported, and confident in her classroom. She uses a variety of engagement strategies and works diligently to build relationships with her students.”
Hansen earned her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in XXXX. Previously she had earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Las Vegas.
