Peru, Nebraska - Peru State College hosted a part-time job fair in the Live Oak Room at the Student Center. Several companies from southeast Nebraska attended in the hopes of attracting Peru State students to unfilled positions. The event was held during lunch hours, allowing students more flexibility to meet with potential employers and to learn more about available part-time job opportunities.

The Nebraska Department of Labor helped publicize the event to regional employers.

Lea Thomsen, an employment specialist for the Department of Labor, said, "Helping employers connect with the community, and giving job seekers an opportunity to sell themselves to a potential employer is what it’s all about. We were glad to help facilitate this event, and look forward to working with Peru State College again."
