Peru, Nebraska - Dr. Tim Borchers, Vice President of Academic Affairs and acting Dean of the School of Professional Studies at Peru State College, announced that Austin L. Guhde-Egger has been awarded the James G. and Mavis Green Freshman Scholarship for the 2019-2020 school year.

The Green Freshman Scholarship is awarded to incoming students planning to major in business administration with an ACT score of 20 or higher. The scholarship recipient is also encouraged to join and participate in Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), a collegiate business student organization.

First preference is given to applicants from Auburn and Johnson with secondary preference for southeast Nebraska students and the surrounding areas of Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. Guhde-Egger is from Auburn and attended Johnson-Brock Public Schools.

Borchers writes, “The Green Family Scholarship assists in attracting the area’s brightest business students to Peru State and encourages them to become involved in our nationally-recognized chapter of PBL.”
