Peru, Nebraska – Peru State Choirs will present their debut concert of the 2019-2020 school year, “We Rise Again.” The concert will be held Thursday, October 10 at 6:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Women’s Choir and Concert Chorale groups will perform. The choirs will be conducted by Dr. Matt Hill, with Liz Stinman on piano.
According to choir director Dr. Matt Hill, the concert “is a celebration of choral diversity, a portion of which acknowledges the devastation of our region’s flooding, and sparks hope and determination for full recovery from this ongoing disaster.”
The Women’s Choir is a treble concert choir made up of passionate women who love to explore treble music’s close harmonies and vibrant resonance. The Concert Chorale is a mixed-gender choir that specializes in 20th and 21st Century choral repertoire from the United States and around the world.
