Peru, Nebraska - Peru State's annual Oakstock music festival was held on September 6. The event was hosted by the Campus Activities Board (CAB).

Several artists from around Nebraska and the Midwest area performed, including Omaha Street Percussion, Henry Lickteig, Jadyn Keller, and the Culdesac Kids. Dinner was served outside with free snow cones, ice cream and a variety of yard games available for playing.

CAB executive member, Kristin Sanford, commented, “I think this was the best Oakstock we have had in my four years attending Peru State.” According to CAB, 215 students attended the event.

Oakstock was started in 2008 by Black Student Union to continue the concert experiences held on campus over the past decades.  CAB has hosted Oakstock for the past several years.
