Peru, Nebraska – Debbie White began her official duties as the new Vice President of Administration and Finance at Peru State College on February 26. She visited campus in January as a finalist and completed a multi-day interview process.

Dr. Dan Hanson, president of Peru State College, said, “Debbie’s wide range of experience prepares her well for our VPAF position. The search committee was most impressed with her effectiveness, her enthusiasm and record of establishing collaborative relationships."

As VPAF, White will provide service-oriented leadership while overseeing Accounting, Budget, Business Office, Campus Services, Financial Aid, Human Resources and Information Systems. As the College’s chief business and financial officer, the VPAF is also responsible for developing and overseeing controls, policies and procedures that effectively steward the College’s human, physical and financial resources.

Prior to arriving on the Peru campus, White was the Budget Fiscal Officer for the College of Arts and Sciences at Kansas State University.  The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest at Kansas State with over 600 full time employees and budgets totaling $90 million.

White has also served as the Director of Administration for the Kansas Historical Society and Business Manager for the Kansas Soldiers’ Home. She has more than 20 years of experience in administration and public service.

White completed her Bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University and her Master of Business Administration at Baker University. She had previously earned an Associate’s degree from the Kansas College of Technology after graduating from Sabetha High School.
