Peru, Nebraska - The Peru State College Council for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (CDEI) has announced the Week of Activities Celebrating Social Justice in Remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. beginning Monday, January 15, 2015. All activities will be held in the entrance to the Student Center from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM.

The Council writes, "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in his Letter from Birmingham Jail (1963) suggested among other things that social injustice anywhere, against any one, is a threat to justice everywhere and to everyone."

"In addition Dr. King calls for and supports non-violent direct action to address issues of social injustice. In Remembrance of Dr. King and his efforts to bring about social justice and awareness, the CDEI has a week of activities planned for the PSC Community."
