Peru, Nebraska- Peru State College to host four activities throughout the day on Veterans Day, November 12, 2018. Veterans from campus and surrounding communities are invited to attend and be recognized as part of these activities. All activities are open to the public.

From 8:00 to 10:00 a.m., veterans on campus - including visitors, faculty, staff and students - may stop at the Bobcat Den (located in the Library) for free coffee and pastries courtesy of Creative Dining.

A Veterans Day Program will be held in the V.F. Jindra Fine Arts Building Choir Room (109) at 10:00 a.m. Matt Gleason will be the keynote speaker. Gleason is a former member of the Kansas National Guard and Peru State College Instructor of Business. Special readings from students and live patriotic music will also be featured.

A reception will follow the program.

Following the reception, Phi Epsilon Kappa will host a Veterans Day Workout Warrior in the Al Wheeler Activities Center (AWAC) Fitness Center.
