Peru, Nebraska – Oct. 23 and Oct. 24, thirty-five choirs competed in Peru State College’s annual show choir competition in the Al Wheeler Athletic Center.


“I cannot believe, and am overwhelmed with gratitude, that we had 35 choirs,” Peru State’s associate professor of music, Dr. Jacob Barlett, said to the competing schools after awards were announced.


“It was wonderful to watch all of you share your gifts with us, and we are incredibly appreciative that you continue to support our festival.”


The men are wearing scarlet blazers. The women are wearing gold and black dresses.

Peru State’s show choir competition will return October 2019 in the college’s new Performing Arts Center.
