Peru, Nebraska- Peru State College President Dr. Dan Hanson today announced the appointment of Dr. Jesse Dorman as vice president for enrollment management and student affairs.

Dorman, a resident of Nebraska City, served as dean of student affairs at Peru State College before the College named him interim associate vice president of student affairs in the summer of 2016.

President Hanson said, “Dr. Dorman has committed his career to student success. At Peru State, his leadership has already greatly contributed to student retention and academic success. I look forward to working with him in his new role.”

Dorman said, “I am proud to continue serving alongside so many great faculty, staff and students dedicated to engaged learning and supporting students.  Our service together has deepened my passion for the essential work we do to fulfill our mission for each and every student at Peru State.”

Prior to joining Peru State, Dorman also served as Dean of Students at Christendom College (Virginia) where he oversaw residence life, judicial affairs, student activities, alumni relations, athletics and recreation, health services, chaplaincy, career development, new student orientation, a study abroad program in Rome and other special programs.

He has also served in leadership in residence life at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland and Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio.

Dorman earned a doctorate of education in higher education administration from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  He also holds degrees from Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio) and Gannon University (Pennsylvania).

Dorman’s wife, Kimberly, teaches fourth grade at Lourdes Central Catholic where their daughters also attend.
