Destructive Decisions) National College Advisory Council. She serves as the organization’s
National Vice President of Communications.
Bailey Bindle
Bindle writes, "I recently partnered up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
(NHTSA) and authored this Op-Ed that has been sent to colleges in the 5 state area
for impaired driving awareness surrounding the Labor Day holiday."
The piece is titled, "To My Fellow College Students: We Are Not Invincible. Don’t
Drink and Drive." The Op-Ed combines powerful statistics with an emotional call to
action.
Bindle begins, "Think about this for a minute: in 2015 if everyone in the country
had made the decision to drive sober, 10,265 people could still be alive today. That’s
how many people were killed in drunk driving crashes that year. That’s how many families
and loved ones were made to go through unimaginable suffering."
"It doesn’t have to be that way."
Bindle is from Falls City, Nebraska. She is studying Criminal Justice and Psychology
at Peru State.
