Nebraska City, Nebraska – Peru State’s Anna Most placed first for her “Windmills of the West” poster in the Illustration category at the Power of Wind Exhibition. Most will receive a medal, ribbon, certificate, and several gift certificates sponsored by local businesses.

Upon invitation from David Flatt, executive director of the Kregel Windmill Factory Museum, Peru State College Art Professors John Gardner and Sheli Petersen coordinated projects in their Drawing II and Typography classes, respectively, that were displayed in the Power of Wind Exhibition hosted by the KWF Museum and the UNL Kimmel Education and Research Center in Nebraska City during the Week of April the 24th.

Drawings and poster designs created by Peru State art students were amongst 225 plus entries, representing artists and writers from 18 different countries. Participants ranged from grade school, high school, college and professional levels. The themes of the Peru State students’ artwork and design centered around the historical, cultural or technical aspects wind power.

Anna Most is a graphic design major from Tobias, Nebraska.
