The Omaha World-Herald writes, “The Omaha Junior Chamber of Commerce, better known as the Omaha Jaycees, has been honoring young professionals since 1933, making it the longest-running Jaycees project in the world.”
“Individuals were nominated by their peers and selected by a panel of nine judges. The 10 honorees will be recognized at a Feb. 13 banquet.”
Gorynski serves as Vice President of Community Development and Corporate Social Responsibility at the First National Bank of Omaha. He also serves as President of First National Nebraska Community Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of First National Bank of Omaha.
He is a co-founder and board member of Spark; 2016 board president of Omaha 100; a member of the Grant Review Committee for the Omaha Community Foundation; a member of the Advisory Board for inCommon Community Development; a member of the Board of Directors for Family Housing Advisory Services; a member of the Board of Directors for Communities in Schools Mid-America; and a member of the Board of Directors for the Holy Name Housing Corporation. He was also appointed to the Nebraska Arts Council this month.
Gorynski was recognized by the Midlands Business Journal as one of 2015’s “40 Under 40.” The Midlands Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” is also an annual list saluting the Omaha area’s young, dynamic leaders.
Affiliated with Junior Chamber International and the United States Junior Chamber, the Omaha Jaycees – also called the Omaha Junior Chamber of Commerce – is the oldest young professional organization in the Omaha metro, building strong community leaders since 1921.
