Peru, Nebraska- Cindy Cammack has been named the Director of Admissions at Peru State College. Cammack is a twenty-nine year veteran of college recruitment.

Dr. Dan Hanson said, “Cindy brings incredible experience and a wealth of knowledge to our growing college.”

“Students have a lot of choices to make about college and I think Cindy will do a great job helping students know that Peru State is the right college for them. She’s also going to help more parents realize Peru State is an incredible value for the price.”

Hanson adds, “I am very happy to welcome Cindy to Peru State.”

Cammack has spent the majority of her career recruiting for the University of Nebraska – Lincoln where she served as associate director of admissions for fourteen years. Cammack has also held positions focusing on the exclusive recruitment of freshmen, transfer students, international students, agricultural sciences and natural resources students and engineering students.

Cammack said, “Recruiting students is my passion. I enjoy developing relationships with students as well as high school and college counselors.”

During my professional career, I’ve been able to develop strategies and tactics to work with every student population.  I love the challenges and opportunities I’ve been given to work with a wide variety of students.”

“Peru State College is my new challenge. There is a wealth of reasons to choose to be a Bobcat and I am enjoying every minute of telling students and their parents why.”

Cammack has been a member of the American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers, the Nebraska American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admission Officers, the Big 10 Conference Transfer Group, the National Association for the Study of Transfer Groups and the University Association for Administrative Development.

Originally from DeWitt, Nebraska, Cammack is a graduate of Tri County High School.  She earned a bachelors of arts in journalism and a master of arts in educational psychology from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.

Cammack is currently serving as the silent auction chair for the Cattleman’s Ball of Nebraska. She is also past president of the Junior League of Lincoln and past president of the Ladies of Lincoln Golf Association.
