Zurek and Constantino named 2019 Homecoming Queen and King

Peru, Nebraska – Seniors Julia Zurek and Luis Constantino were crowned as the 2019 Homecoming King and Queen on Saturday, September 28, at a special ceremony moved to the Al Wheeler Activity Center due to a rain delay during the annual homecoming football game.

Julia Zurek is the daughter of Rick and Stacey Zurek. She is from Louisville, Nebraska.

Zurek is majoring in Kinesiology with a business minor. She participates in Cross Country and is a Resident Assistant.  She also participates in Christian Student Fellowship, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Rotaract, Phi Epsilon Kappa, Peru Association of Student Athletes, and is a student honors assistant.

Zurek’s hobbies include anything involving crafts, working out, fishing, reading, cooking, gardening, and hanging out with friends and family. Her future plans are to graduate in May, marry Daniel Boshart, and go change the world from there.

Last year’s homecoming king, Daniel Boshart, crowns the 2019 Homecoming Queen, Julia Zurek, with the help of Peru State’s first Lady, Elaine Hanson.

Luis Henrique Ribeiro Constantino is the son of Laerte Constantino and Lucy Ribeiro. He is from Varzae Grande, Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Constantino is majoring in Kinesiology and Business Management. His on-campus activities on include being a Resident Assistant and playing football.

Constantino’s hobbies include cooking, working out, listening to music and playing various sports. Luis’s future plans are to graduate and pursue a job in kinesiology or business.

Last year’s queen, Emily Whipple, crown’s Peru State’s 2019 Homecoming King, Luis Constantino, with the help of Dr. Dan Hanson.

The Homecoming 2019 Royalty Crowing took place in the Al Wheelr Activity Center.

The 2019 Homecoming Reception included the President of Peru State College, Dr. Dan Hanson; the First Lady, Elaine Hanson; the 2018 Homecoming Queen, Emily Whipple (Lincoln, Neb.); and the 2018 Homecoming King, Daniel Boshart (Woodriver, Neb.).
