Peru, Nebraska – Continuing for the second consecutive year, the Peru State Theatre Company will present the 10-Minute Play Festival. The Festival is a student-directed (and partially student-written) staged reading of 10-minute plays, performing October 2-7 in the Jindra Black Box Theatre.
The festival will allow several students to try out the role of a director. Directors will select the pieces performed, all of which will center around comedies about communication, relationships and holding your breath.
President of the Peru Theater Company, Amelia Roth, commented on the production and its meaning to her and her peers, stating, “We have worked on some similar projects before. It’s a really cool format and it gives great opportunities for student directors to take a crack at it.”
