The donation drive was also assisted by Sarpy County Human Services and non-profit Lift Up Sarpy County, Inc.

“Share the Warmth” is a donation drive that distributes needed resources to the homeless in the Omaha Metro Area.

Gathered resources included:

Draw string bags
Comforters
Blankets
Gloves
Stocking caps
Pens/Pencils
Sunglasses
Shampoo
Conditioner
Hand soap
Bar soap
Mouth wash
Tooth paste
Tooth brushes

According to Criminal Justice Professor, Dr. Amber Mahan, “Share the Warmth is another way for student organizations to give back not only to this community, but surrounding communities with the understanding that even the smallest of donations can benefit others.”

She added, “This is the first collection made under this project, however we plan to make this an annual event.”
