Peru, Nebraska – Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Hispanic Latino Student Association (HLSA) and the Black Student Union (BSU) were looking to help combat food insecurity in Southeast Nebraska with the help of students and the local community. The organizations raised more than 450 canned food donations.
Donations were given to the Southeast Nebraska Community Action Council (SENCA). SENCA has been a private non-profit corporation for 52 years, serving individuals in the Cass, Johnson, Nemaha, Otoe, Pawnee and Richardson counties of Nebraska.
