Facility Services Grounds/Maintenance Work-Study
Start Date
Facility Services seeks students who have qualified and accepted Federal Work-Study funds on campus. Starting date is as soon as possible. This position will provide grounds and maintenance services across the College. Work hours are flexible. Applications will be reviewed immediately and the position will be open until filled.
Salary
Starting wage is $13.50 per hour.
Qualifications
Must be dependable. Must provide positive customer-oriented attitude and professional image. Must be able to work in extreme hot or cold; bend, crouch and climb; assist in safe lifting practices and sufficient strength to perform assigned tasks.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
- Ability to communicate with other students, faculty and staff.
- The ability to work independently, identify resources and make independent decisions.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Keep on pace with assigned work; avoid personal activities and multiple or extended breaks
Job Performance Evaluation: A job performance evaluation will be completed at the end of each semester. It will evaluate job knowledge, quality of work, initiative and dependability.
REGULATIONS ON WORK STUDY JOBS Students are not permitted to work in FWS positions during scheduled class times. Exceptions are permitted if an individual class is cancelled, if the instructor has excused the student from attending for a particular day, and if the student is receiving credit for employment in an internship, externship, or community work study experience. Any such exemptions must be documented.
