Admissions Recruitment Assistant

Admissions seeks a part-time Recruitment Assistant. Review of applications will begin immediately.



Salary is $10 per hour. This position is for 10-20 hours per week during the months of November 2021 to March 2022.



  • Be a full time Peru State College student 
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work with various constituencies including fellow professionals, students, and parents in a student-centered environment  
  • Flexibility to work in a complex and ever-changing environment  
  • Strong leadership, time management, event planning, and organizational skills  
  • Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations 
  • Ability to comfortably work and communicate effectively with word processing and spreadsheet programs, e-mail, CRM and internet


  • Successful background records check required 
  • Valid driver’s license required 
  • Preference given to candidates with Spanish language skills 



Assist with freshman recruitment for Peru State College.  Duties will include recruitment travel for high school visits and college fairs.  Communicate and follow up with students via phone, email, postal mail and CRM software. Warmly greet and welcome families upon their arrival to campus, cooperate with and support admissions staff during the campus visit process and serve as admissions counselor or tour guide when others are unavailable.
