Admission

Admission to the Honors Program is available to incoming freshmen with strong records of academic achievement in high school. Specific admission requirements include:

  1. A composite ACT score of 24 or SAT score of 1650 or higher;or
  2. A cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4-point scale)

Transfer students can be admitted to the Honors Program if:

  1. You have completed at least one year in good standing in the Honors Program of another college or university at the time of their transfer;or
  2. You have completed an associate’s degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

All other students wishing to enter the Honors Program, but who do not meet the above requirements, can apply for the Honors program by completing this application form .

Transfer students admitted to the Honors Program should consult the Director of the Honors Program regarding transfer of credit from the Honors Program of the student’s previous institution to Peru State’s Honors Program.

Students who earn certain scholarships are required to enroll in the Honors Program. Please consult the requirements of any scholarships you have to determine whether this applies.
