Elementary Education
Elementary Education will endorse an individual to teach grades Kindergarten through eight in a self-contained
classroom. This program combines a solid foundation of courses in humanities, mathematics,
science and social sciences with professional education courses. Professional courses
include professional practices, classroom management, diversity in education and field
based experiences. Students preparing to become elementary educators learn to focus
on the developmental and cognitive needs of children. Elementary Education majors
are provided experiences in a variety of settings as they learn to meet the needs
of diverse learners. If you have a desire to influence the lives of young children,
then this program is for you.
