Bio:
Dr. Spencer Vogt obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Middle Grades Education from York
College. Later, he received a Master of Science in Educational Technology from the
University of Nebraska at Kearney. Now he has a Doctorate in Educational Technology
from Walden University. His focus is on digital game-based learning (DGBL) in the
classroom. Spencer taught in the middle school classroom for 10 years as a social
studies teacher. He joined the PSC School of Education as an Assistant Professor of
Education and Technology Coordinator in 2014.
Dr. Vogt has presented at Nebraska Educational Technology Association (NETA) Conference,
Northern Rocky Mountain Educational Research Association (NRMERA) Conference, Association
for Middle Level Education (AMLE) Conference, and numerous presentations at local
Educational Service Units in the state of Nebraska.Spencer resides in Nebraska with his wife Kimmie. They have two children Marie and
Sawyer.
