Cristina’s experience with the piano has only grown in the past 27 years. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Gheorghe Dima Music Academy in Romania and a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Ohio, both in Piano Performance. She received her Doctorate of Music in Piano Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2014 under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Mark Clinton.
From her earliest years as a student, Cristina was involved in various musical experiences that established her musical background. She performed numerous piano recitals and received several awards at national and international competitions. Cristina has toured extensively in Europe, performing in France, Luxembourg, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Romania, and Bulgaria, as well as in the United States. She has performed as a solo pianist, collaborative pianist, part of chamber music ensembles, and with full orchestras.
Cristina’s interest in contemporary music led her to premiere numerous new solo and chamber works. She has performed with the BGSU New Music Ensemble, the Gheorghe Dima Music Academy Orchestra, and New Music Festivals in Romania, Italy and the United States.
Cristina taught individual piano lessons for adults and children, helping her to further develop her pedagogical techniques. She adjusts these techniques to fit different personalities, interests, drive and potential of her students.
