Alpha Chi

Description:  Alpha Chi is Peru State College’s national honorary scholarship society.  It recognizes academic scholarship, good reputation, and character.  The society’s members are selected from the top ten percent of the junior and senior classes. 

 

 

American Red Cross Club

President:

Description: The purpose of ARCC is to promote the American Red Cross on our campus and to promote the mission of the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The club will plan at least one community service project each semester, as well as help with the blood drives on our campus.    

 

 

Art Guild

Description:  The Art Guild is a student organization for art majors and students interested in art.  Art Guild offers a forum for discussion concerning art and is dedicated to the advancement of the Fine Arts and the artistic growth of its members.  They also attempt to make frequent trips to art museums.

Description:  The purpose of the Peru State College Black Student Union is to foster a sense of community, stimulate the intellectual, social, cultural, and political growth of all Peru State College students, and provide support for students and the community. Physical Education Activity Kiniesiology Students (PEAKS)

Peru Individual Leaders of Today (PILOT)

Description:  The purpose of PILOT is to provide an opportunity for the students at PSC to volunteer in service learning projects that will benefit others.  Targeted groups will include, but not limited to, agencies that serve those with learning and physical disabilities, retirement and nursing homes, food banks, nonprofit groups such as Peru Day Care and Girl Scouts, as well as other organizations such as Project Response, Hearts United for Animals, etc.

 

 

Peru Theatre Company (PTC)

Description:  The group was formerly known as "Peru Players." We've changed our name, but we're still dedicated to renewing the interest in Theatre Arts throughout the campus and community.The Theatre Company also will be starting an Improv Troupe, and a Slam PoetryTeam on campus this year.

 

 

People Respecting Individual Differences and Equality (PRIDE)

Description:  PRIDE is an organization whose purpose is to provide support and unity to people of all sexual orientations.  PRIDE intends to increase awareness of differing sexual orientations on the PSC campus and in the surrounding community. 

 

 

Peru State Catholic Union (PSCU)

Description:  The Catechesis group is open to all the student of Peru. Anyone with a willing interest is invited to the meetings, discussions, etc., and these shall be made available to everyone. Within the actual organization itself there are no actual meeting requirements, so all members are free to come and go as they please, as well as bring in new members. Members (including leadership) will not under any circumstances be required to submit dues. The founders of this group are primarily of Catholic Christian background, but those of other religious backgrounds and/or beliefs are more than welcome to participate and join in group meetings, discussions, and activities.

Description:  Phi Alpha Theta is a professional society whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students, teachers and writers of history together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways.

 

 

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)

 

Welcome to Peru State College's
Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda!

 

Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is a state and national business fraternity.  Peru State College's chapter, Epsilon Tau, is open to all students interested in business.  A student does not have to be a business major to join our chapter.

 

Regular meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 11 am.  Signs about the meetings are usually posted on campus bulletin boards and are often announced on PSC's channel 4.

 

Besides participating in college and community activities, Phi Beta Lambda students attend the Nebraska Fall and Spring State Leadership Conferences.  Students participate in the state contests, and PSC students often qualify to attend the National Leadership Conference held each summer.

Description:  The purpose of SAAC is to facilitate communication and support between athletic teams. The council will plan on e community service project and social event each semester. Description:The Student organization focuses on the interests and opinions of the students in regard to the operations of the College. From this participation, the Student Senate aims to express student views and interests to the administration, develop better educational standards, facilities, and teaching methods, and to foster the recognition of the rights and responsibilities of students to the school and community.
