Residency Requirements

Peru State College is a residential college, requiring students to live in campus housing for four (4) semesters. An exception may be granted by appealing to the Dean of Student Life or their designee, based on one of the following criteria:

  • Lived on campus for two years prior to the last official day to register for the Fall semester.
  • Twenty-one (21) years of age or older on or before the last official date to register for the Fall semester.
  • Residing at home with their parent(s) or legal guardian(s), 50 miles or less from the main campus of Peru State College.
  • Veterans who qualify for veterans benefits by virtue of active service in the armed forces.
  • Enrolled in eight credits or less per semester.
  • Enrolled in on-line courses only, subject to approval from the Residence Life Office.

If you meet one of the above qualifications, you must fill-out an exemption form.

 

If you plan on commuting from home, you must fill-out a commuter form.
