I want to live with a friend from my high school, how can I do that?
You can live with anyone you want! When filling out your electronic application make sure to put your friend’s name down for your preference. You need to tell your friend to put your name down as their preference too, as both applications must have the same name requests for our system to assign you to each other. If you have already submitted an application and want to request a roommate, give us a call at 402.872.2246; we will try to put you together, if space permits.

Do I have to live on campus?

Peru State College acknowledges that there are students who desire to live within the local community safely and in a responsible manner. As such, a student can seek "independent student" status as long as they meet a qualification of the Independent Living Policy. The qualifications include: student is 21 years of age or older, student is married, student has minor child(ren), student is student teaching, student has met the 2 year (4 semesters) residency requirement, student is enrolled in 100% online classes, or the student is living locally with their parent(s)/guardian(s) within a 50 mile radius of the Peru State College campus. Additionally, students must seek and receive approval from the Office of Residence Life in order to live off-campus or commute within the given parameters by completing the "Housing Status Change Request Form", found here.
