Learning-Living Communities

Freshmen Fusion (LLC)

Location: Delzell Hall (males) and Morgan Hall (females)

The Freshmen Fusion LLC is offered to Peru State College first-year students wanting to immerse themselves in an experience-rich environment. This LLC will benefit individuals in various ways, including confidence development through daring discussions. Daring discussions also help students see other individual’s point of view on various relevant topics. Freshmen Fusion allows individuals to focus on academics, develop social and leadership skills while creating a healthy living style. In the past the Freshmen Fusion LLC has also gone on trips to museums and to social activities in Omaha, Kansas City, and Lincoln.

Students in the Freshmen Fusion LLC take the following courses together in the Fall Semester:

  • SPCH 152: Fundamentals of Speech
  • HIST 113: American History Before 1865

(These classes are general studies credits towards most majors at Peru State)


Discovery (Undeclared) (LLC)

Location: Morgan Hall 2nd Floor (females) and Delzell 2nd Floor (males)

The Discovery LLC is offered to Peru State College Freshmen who are entering college without a declared or decided major. The community focuses on exploring major and career options, the adjustment to college, and skill development that helps students succeed. Students will have the opportunity to participate in career exploration activities and will get exposure to the many different majors at Peru State College. 

Students in the Discovery LLC take the following courses together in the Fall Semester:

  • SPCH 152: Fundamentals of Speech
  • MUSIC 211: Music Appreciation
  • COLL 101: College 101

(These classes are general studies credits towards most majors at Peru State)


Themed Living Communities

Wellness Community (TLC)

Location: Morgan Hall Basement

The Wellness Community is a space for students to connect with peers who are excited about working towards lifelong health and well-being. Students in this community will have the opportunity to participate in activities that will contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Activities will be focused around fitness, emotional support, intellectual support, stress-relief, healthy diet, and other wellness areas. 

Bobcat Spirit (TLC)

Location: Delzell Hall 1st Floor

The Bobcat Spirit Community is a space for incoming Freshmen to form a bond through Bobcat Athletics. Members of this community will broaden their college experience by attending Bobcat sporting events as a group and may even have opportunities to take trips to away games as a group. Members of this community will also have the opportunity to take part in intramural sports with floor teams.
