Variety of student musical performances, concerts at Peru State this spring

An Evening with the Madrigal Singers at 7 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday


(Peru, Neb.) The month of April will feature a variety of student musical performances and concerts at Peru State, beginning with “An Evening with the Madrigal Singers” at 7 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday, April 9 and 10 in the Jindra Fine Arts Recital Hall.

The performances, which are free and open to the public, will include traditional madrigals and rounds as well selections from musical theatre. Highlights from “Les Miserables” are included in the program as well as several solos and duets.

Following is a full listing of this month’s events, all of which are free and open to the public.

Junior Clarinet Recital by Yusheng Li, a music performance and music marketing major from Liaoning Shenyang, China

Misty Blues Show Choir and Hoyt Street Jazz Ensemble Concert

7 p.m. – College Theatre 

The program will feature a variety of popular, Broadway, rock and jazz musical selections.

Sunday, May 4

Peru State Concert Choir and Concert Band Performance, May the Fourth Be With You (a celebration of Star Wars)
