Omaha Alumni Chapter to host annual banquet and auction Thursday, April 24
Event begins at 5:30 p.m. at German-American Society
(Peru, Neb.) The Omaha Chapter of Peru State College’s National Alumni Association will host its annual banquet and auction Thursday, April 24 at the German American Club, 3717 S. 120th St. (just north of 120th and I St.) in Omaha.
The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a reception and will be followed by dinner, a campus update and a limited live auction. The theme for the night is Big Blue Thursday, so guests are encouraged to dress Bobcat casual.
All proceeds from the evening will go to support educational efforts at Peru State. Among the Omaha Chapter’s annual contributions is the sponsorship of two $1,000 scholarships. In the 2013-14 academic year the chapter provided $12,000 for an international travel experience for students.
Foundation Executive Director Todd Simpson said, “The Omaha alumni banquet and auction is a longstanding tradition that we look forward to year after year. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our alumni and friends to reconnect and lend support to the students of Peru State.”
