Peru State Choirs to perform concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17


(Peru, Neb.) The Peru State College choirs will perform a concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17 in the College Theatre. There is no admission charge and the public is encouraged to attend.
The Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will perform under the direction of Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Thomas Ediger. The program will conclude with a performance by the Misty Blues Show Choir, under the direction of Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Jacob Bartlett. David Norris of Peru, Neb., is pianist.

The Concert Choir will open the program with Of the Father’s Love Begotten, a 13th century Plainsong; Gloria in Excelsis by Mozart; How Lovely is Thy Dwelling Place by Brahms; and Russian Picnic by Harvey Enders.

The Madrigal Singers will continue the program with a variety of traditional madrigals, rounds and chansons, including I Behold Your Beauty by Giovanni Gastoldi, All Ye Who Music Love by Baldassare Donato and Lady Your Eye My Love Enforced by Thomas Weelkes.

Peru State’s Misty Blues Show Choir will conclude the program with a variety of popular musical styles, including Land of My Dreams, Conga Rhythm, Caribbean Blue, The Boy from New York City and Dancing in the Street
