Peru State Choirs to Perform Free Concert at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 11


(Peru, Neb.) The Peru State College (PSC) choirs will perform a concert at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 11 in the College Theatre. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.
The Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will perform under the direction of Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Thomas Ediger. The program will conclude with a performance by the Misty Blues Show Choir, under the direction of Assistant Professor of Voice Dr. Jacob Bartlett.

The Concert Choir’s program will feature a variety of music from classical to popular, including Rejoice, Sing and Praise by George F. Handel, Poor Man Lazrus by Jester Hairston and three movements from the Coronation Mass by Wolfgang Mozart.

The Madrigal Singers will perform a variety of English, Italian and French songs, including Sweet Love Doth Now Invite by John Dowland, O ochi manza mia by Orlando di Lasso, Il Est Bel et Bon by Pierre Passereau and Quick, quick, away, dispatch by Michael East.

Peru State’s Misty Blues Show Choir will conclude the program with Let’s Get Loud, I Gotta Feeling, Rainy Days and Mondays and That’s When the Music Takes You.
