Peru State music faculty to perform recital Tuesday, Oct. 9


(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) music faculty will perform a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9 in the Jindra Fine Arts Benford Theatre. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will feature the music of six faculty members, including Dean of the School of Fine Arts Dr. Patrick Fortney on tuba, Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Thomas Ediger on piano, Assistant Professor of Music Ken Meints on trombone, Debra Wehrmann-DeFrain on piano, Adjunct Instructor Anne Sheedy-Gardner on flute and Assistant Professor of Music Dr. Jacob Bartlett on bass-baritone. Marcelo Lian, piano accompanist for the PSC Concert Choir and University of Nebraska - Lincoln doctoral student, will also perform a piano solo.

A variety of music will be presented including musical selections by J. S. Bach, Giacomo Puccini, Robert Federer, Walter Hartley, Robert Schumann and Donald H. White.
