Hawkins, Trapp crowned 2012 Homecoming King and Queen at Peru State


Homecoming King and Queen

(Peru, Neb.) Seniors Christopher Hawkins and Jenny Trapp were crowned Peru State College’s (PSC) 2012 Homecoming King and Queen last Saturday by President Dan and First Lady Elaine Hanson. The duo was elected by members of the PSC student body.

Hawkins is an elementary education major from Indian Head, MD. He is a member of the Student Senate, Black Student Union, Peru State Education Association, Misty Blues Show Choir, Madrigal Singers, Concert Choir, Photography Club, Student Support Services, Campus Crusades and the Peru Theatre Company. He also works with Peru State’s athletic trainers. He is the son of Elizabeth Newman and the grandson of Dorothy Newman.

Trapp, is an art education from Omaha. She is the resident assistant in Eliza Morgan Hall, a student ambassador, layout editor for the Peru State Times, Art Guild president, a member of Alpha Chi and was awarded the Scroll of Service. She is the daughter of Mike and Jackie Trapp.
