Peru State choirs to perform concert at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 13


(Peru, Neb.) The Peru State College (PSC) Concert Choir, Madrigal Singers and Misty Blues Show Choir will perform a concert at 3 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 13 in the College Theatre. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.

Among the Concert Choir selections are Awake the Trumpet's Lofty Sound by G. F. Handel, Regina Coeli by Mozart, and Go Down Moses, a spiritual arranged by Mark Hayes.

The Madrigal Singers will perform a variety of traditional madrigals, including William Byrd's I Thought that Love Had Been a Boy, About the Maypole and All Ye Who Music Love.

The Misty Blues Show Choir will round out the program with a variety of popular songs, including Heal the World by Michael Jackson, Higher Ground by Stevie Wonder, and Jailhouse Rock, as recorded by Elvis Presley.

The groups are directed by PSC Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Thomas Ediger. Laurie Schulte will serve as pianist.
