Approximately 226 pianists from across Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri will convene at PSC to play in the college’s 22nd Annual Piano Extravaganza.

The event, which begins in the morning with rehearsals throughout the day, culminates with a “piano orchestra” concert at 7 p.m. in the College Theatre. The grand finale will include 30 pianists performing duets together on 15 pianos on one stage under the direction of Ediger.

The Piano Extravaganza rehearsals and concert are open to the public. Admission to the evening concert is $7 for adults and $2 for students. Tickets are available at the door, which opens at 6:05 p.m. There is no admission charge to attend rehearsals, which begin at 10:30 a.m.

The event is sponsored by the PSC Music Department and the student Music Educators National Conference chapter. It is made possible through the support of Dietze Music House of Lincoln and Omaha and the Yamaha Corporation of America, which provide the pianos.
