PSC Madrigal Singers to Present A Night of Musical Theatre Tuesday, April 6
(Peru, Neb.) The Peru State College Madrigal Singers will present A Night of Musical Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 6 in the College Theatre, located at the south end of Hoyt Science Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Thomas Ediger, music professor and director of choral activities at PSC, said, “Normally, the Madrigal Singers specialize in the singing of a cappella music from the Renaissance and Baroque Periods. This semester we are taking a break from our normal repertoire to perform some of the great music selections from Broadway.”
The Madrigal Singers will perform selections from many different Broadway musicals, including songs from Wicked, Pippin, Children of Eden, Ragtime, Guys and Dolls, West Side Story and Les Miserables, among others. Ensembles, solos and duets will be featured.
