Peru State Music Faculty to Perform Recital for the Public Tuesday, Feb. 16

 

(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) music faculty will present a recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16 in the College Theatre, located at the south end of Hoyt Science Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

The program will feature five faculty members, including Music Professor and Director of Choral Activities Dr. Thomas Ediger on trumpet, Emeritus Music Professor Dr. David Edris on piano, Ken Meints on trombone, Debra DeFrain on keyboard and Charlotte Shields as soprano.

Selections will include two pieces from the Baroque Period (1600 - 1750), Morceau Symphonique by Alexander Guilmant, Rhodora and original composition by Edioger on a text by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Other works to be performed include Concert Etude by Alexander Geodicke and Sonata Francais by Franklin Delong.
