PSC to Offer Computer Software Applications Class Monday Evenings Beginning in January
(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College’s (PSC) School of Professional Studies will offer a computer software applications class (CMIS 101) on Monday evenings beginning Jan. 11 through the end of the spring semester. It will be held on the PSC campus from 6:30 – 9:15 p.m.
The three credit-hour course is an introduction to basic computer concepts, including Windows- based spreadsheets, databases and presentation graphics software currently used in industry. Development of problem-solving and proficiency using selected commercial software packages are stressed.
Dean of Professional Studies Dr. Jeff Ehrlich said, “We decided to offer this course in the evenings as a way to give working people from our surrounding communities an opportunity to increase their computer knowledge and skills. Peru State College prides itself on providing our students with a top quality education that is flexible enough to fit their busy lifestyles – all for one of the most affordable prices in the region. I encourage anyone who needs to enhance their computer skills to register as soon as possible as space is limited.”
For additional information and to register for the course, contact the PSC Admissions Office at 800-742-4412 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Cost is $122.50 per credit hour, regardless of residency.
