Peru State English Professor Has Book of Poetry Published
(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) Assistant Professor of English Dr. Tammy Trucks-Bordeaux’s poetry book Brought Back Safely has been published by Pudding House Publications, one of the largest literary small presses in the United States. The book will be out in 2010.
PSC President Dr. Dan Hanson said, “We are proud to have someone of Tammy’s distinction serving as part of the Peru State College faculty. Not only is she a top-notch educator, she is a very talented writer and poet. Tammy is an excellent example of how our students learn their trades from accomplished professionals. I congratulate her on this honor.”
As part of having her work accepted by Pudding House Publications, Trucks-Bordeaux will be considered for nomination for the Pushcart Prize. Her work will also be on display at the Annual Spring Showcase at Poets House in New York City, listed in Books in Print and have a permanent position on the Pudding House Publications List. It will also be included in special collections at Ohio State University, Kent State University, SUNY/Buffalo, and several other academic and private libraries.
Many of the publishing house’s writers have also had their work read on Garrison Keilor’s Writers Almanac program.
