Peru State College Homecoming Festivities Set for Oct. 26 – Nov. 1

 

(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) President Dan Hanson today released a schedule of events for the college’s annual homecoming celebration, which will be held Monday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 1 on campus and in downtown Peru. In the spirit of Halloween, the theme of this year’s festivities is “Nightmare on Hoyt Street.”

Following is a complete list of events, times, locations and any associated costs. Events that are open to the public are noted by an asterisk (*).


Monday, Oct. 26 
   
10:30am - 1:00pm Mario Kart Challenge, Student Center
   
6:00pm - 8:00pm Game Night and Hayrack Rides, Student Center/Ride Pick-Up Behind Morgan Hall

Tuesday, Oct. 27
   
11:00am - 1:00pm Scary Photo Shoot, Student Center
   
8:00pm Free Movie “Nightmare on Elm Street,” Student Center

Wednesday, Oct. 28
   
11:00am - 1:00pm Pie Eating Contest, Student Center
   
8:00pm - 10:00pm Murder Mystery Party, Student Center

Thursday, Oct. 29
   
10:30am - 2:00pm Scary Marathon Showing “Are You Afraid of the Dark?,” Student Center
   
7:00pm - 10:00pm Ghost Hunter Presentation and Paranormal Tour, Begins in the Student Center
   
11:00pm *“The Woman in Black,” College Theatre
(PSC students admitted free. $10 admission for adults, $5 admission for seniors and children.)

Friday, Oct. 30
   
10:00am Powder Puff Football, Intramural/Band Field
   
6:30pm - 9:00pm *Pep Rally and Bonfire, Student Center Green. The Pep Band and PSC Cheerleaders will lead the group through town to a location south of Decker’s Food Center. The event is being held as a free-will donation benefit for a local 9-year-old girl who is battling cancer.
   
7:30pm *“The Woman in Black,” College Theatre
(PSC students admitted free. $10 admission for adults, $5 admission for seniors and children.)

Saturday, Oct. 31
   
10:30am *Homecoming Parade, Peru
