Peru State Senior from Tecumseh Awarded Nebraska CPA Society Foundation Scholarship
(Peru, Neb.) Peru State College (PSC) senior accounting major Erin Dieckhoff of Tecumseh has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by the Nebraska Society of CPAs Foundation.
Dean of PSC’s School of Professional Studies Dr. Jeff Ehrlich said, “We are very pleased the Nebraska Society of CPAs Foundation chose Erin for this generous award. Erin’s hard work and commitment to her education are commendable. The Foundation made an excellent choice.”
Scholarship awards by the Foundation are presented to accounting students who have completed their junior year, plan to sit for the CPA exam, have the interest and capabilities required to become a successful accountant, and are considering an accounting career in Nebraska. Nominations for the scholarships are made by Accounting Department faculty at colleges and universities. Candidates’ scholarship, personality, leadership and character are part of the consideration process.
Dieckhoff will be honored at the Foundation’s annual business luncheon meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Omaha-LaVista.
