Bellevue, Plattsmouth Natives Elected to Lead Peru State College Student Senate
23 Student Representatives Also Elected to Office
(Peru, Neb.) Melody White, a senior elementary education major from Bellevue, and Max Kathol, a junior human performances/systems management major from Plattsmouth, have been elected by their peers to serve as president and vice president, respectively, of Peru State College’s (PSC) Student Senate for the 2008-2009 academic year.
White said, “It is a privilege to serve the students of Peru State College in this capacity. I look forward to listening to their ideas and doing whatever I can to make their educational experience an enjoyable one. It will be an exciting and eventful year, and I’m eager to see how it unfolds.”
The PSC Student Senate meets weekly to address student issues and concerns. Members are also responsible for planning and overseeing annual homecoming festivities. Dean of the School of Professional Studies Bruce Batterson and Director of Transition Services Ted Harshbarger are advisors for the group.
Twenty-three other PSC students have also been elected to serve as representatives on the PSC Student Senate. Members are listed below alphabetically according to the constituencies they represent, along with their hometown, current year and major.
